And I find a good majority of Beyonce stans are not pleased with the 4 era and I really don't think that's right at all. She gave a really good album that holds her best song ever IMO (EOT) released countless videos and this album really doesn't contain songs to have #1's, although I really think End of Time could. Not only that but this era is more about her living life now that she's pregnant, she did a showstopping MMVA performance, will likely take home a few GRAMMYs, and put on good ass performances and filmed a ton of **** for y'all. But I still see a lot of "to make up for the era" and complaining going about, I don't get it.
Just like with Rihanna, I was proud as hell of the Rated R era (minus the live performances ) even if others called it a flop, it's still her best album.

Its more than gaining chart success just for the sake of gaining it, which many people appear to confuse the fan's gripes with. The album is among some of her best work, produced her best photoshoots, as well as some of the greatest and most memorable performances of her career (VMAs and BMAs).
However, I guess this era is just frustrating because it is all wasted potential. If she had played her cards right it could be performing much better than it is now. There is no reason why the most radio friendly song on the album should be stalling on spins. There is no reason why "Party" while it is number 2 on Urban is not picking up on iTunes. There is no reason why they should have waited until after the hype for "Love on Top" shimmered down to release the video. This entire era has been plagued by delays, ill decision-ed maneuvers, and lack of promotion. I mean, if we really want to go there, her damn perfume has been promoted more than her album.
I understand she is pregnant and I am very happy for her and Jay. But that shouldn't be an excuse for some of her best work to fall to the wayside. A radio interview here and there won't hurt. An appearance or two on talk shows wouldn't either. I mean, she can pull an Adele and sit herself in a stool to sing a song, her album is mainly comprised of ballads anyways.
TL;DR: If it is her best album she should treat it as such. That's all. But, it is obviously not her main concern and there's not much we can do about that.
