Apart from LoveGame and Paparazzi, The Fame is pure garbage - not to mention the looks and the performances, especially of the first half.

Interscope - 38,000

This flop album with no longevity has managed to stay 23 straight weeks in the WW top20 and is still there despite a non-existent current worldwide single.
5,5M by the year-end, with all the upcoming promo, are on lock.

These weekly sales are awful.

Fans are not enough at this rate her brand is going to become into a cult of little monsters and the general public will give her the back, she needs both, her singles are underperfoming and some of you are so delusional that you don't want to see it, without the interest of the general public there's no way she will last 10 years, Madonna was a bad bitch during 30 yrs because she knew how to maintain the general public and her fans interested, she did the kind of music that she wanted but at the same time she delivered with commercial music, and her videos were always on point, this is GaGa's 3rd album and she is alreay making drastic changes and her videos this era are not that great, you have to be objective and forget you are a hardcore stan for a second, i don't say this because i want to shade my own fave i say this because i'm worry about her and her career i want her to last, i want her to have longevity too; is sad to see all this basic bitches having number 1's and slaying the world when my girl was the biggest bitch of the charts 2 years ago is depressing to be honest, you have to remember GaGa is a commercial artist a pop star, she needs successful singles because at the end of everything that's the music people will remember there's no The Fame Monster without Bad Romance and Alejandro and there's not The Fame without Just Dance, Poker Face and Paparazzi, ask yourself which single do you think people will remember from Born This Way, fans are not everyting, she needs to keep the world interest in her music, videos perf, etc, she took a risk and it was too soon, the album is selling well but without those 2.000.000 1st week sales what would have been of Born This Way?

Random question, but is Marry The Night (video) rumored to be released on November 16th or is that confirmed?

No, I don't stan for people like Katy Perry or Rihanna. I just want Gaga to find the right combination and it's not the first time I say this.

In terms of success, it looks like 21 is everything Inrerscope wanted Born This Way to be.

In terms of success, 21 is simply one of the biggest thing happened to charts since Thriller. It will probably reach at least 20M copies by December 2013 sold with moderate promotion and no re-releases.

I was talking about the music not her actions, she still delivered and she is still here!
I don't like her that much to be honest i just took her as an example to show how you can be successful and have longevity!

Troy wanted 30 million, and he wasn't talking about records because that's too few.
edit: and if I remember correctly he also said 'shipped'. you can't ship more than, like, 100k physical singles.

I feel like a large part of the general public is turned off by Gaga herself, not much by her music. But I may be wrong.

BTW actually still hasn't reached 25M records sold. 30M isn't that few.
There's still a chance.

I find the album highly overrated, but once again the singles are the key, the singles were on point and Adele is a phenomenon, she came in a time were people needed that kind of organic and slow tempo music, she is great and she deserves all the praise because of her talent but the album is nothing especial excepting the singles and 2 or 3 songs, my opinion of course!
