Britney has videos where her vocals are decent but if the public doesn't know about them, there's no point. And when people have already pre-judged you and put you into a certain category, you really have to WOW them to change their opinion of you, especially after 13 years.

I didn't think the Rihanna performance was terrible, though not something outstanding. The Nicki "performance" isn't to be spoken of, though.

It's certainly possible. Artists like Beyonce and Adele are beloved for their talent and their personalities. Maybe Christina would have still been on their level. Meanwhile, if the public hadn't latched on to Britney's eminently likeable image, then "...Baby One More Time" could have been her "Tik Tok."

oh...and yes...Britney can play the piano effortlessly, and she has a decent voice, i can say better than most of the current popstars......Andbritney was always co writing her stuff and being an active factor on the process of her album excluding ( the last two albums ).

*sigh* I know her dancing isn't what it use to be, that's obvious. But that WASN'T what I was saying. I said Britney, since her debut, has grown as an artist. And she did. As far as dancing goes, Britney didn't really step her choreography up until the OIDIA era. She wasn't dancing like that during the BOMT era. So yes, she did grow as a dancer compared to how she was when she first came on the scene.

You said earlier in the thread that you weren't a fan of Michael's music, I assume because it's not "AMAZING" to you. Most of the general public and critics think other wise, so does his record sales. But you're not the voice of who defines what is "AMAZING" music. Srry2say.

She needs to do something drastic at this point in her career, and an experiment like that could change some public perceptions of her talent and artistry.

What was so amazing about Mariah's music? Was she super experimental as Janet and Madonna? No! Her and Whitney stuck to making amazing Pop and R&B tracks, sometimes going back and forth between the two genres or just mixing them together in one album. Whitney isn't well known for playing a musical instrument, dancing, or writing most of her hits, but is her artistry tainted because of it? No!

Her vocals and choreography improved by time she made her sophomore album compared to what she was doing during the BOMT era. I suppose if you're unfamiliar with her career than there isn't much room for your opinion if you're not sure what you're talking about.

She's shared the stage with king and queen of pop. I know Xtina has also shared the stage with Madonna but Britneys done it multiple times and they collaborated. There the most influential people in the industry

I know i'm not the voice that defines what AMAZING music is but i will always stick to my opinion not a radio, not a magazine, not a music critic. I have my own heard. I've read plenty of people who trash Pop music everyday and praise Electro or Metal. Do i care ? I think electro is trash and metal too. That's my opinion. Someone else will think Hip Hop is trash and Metal and Electro are good music. I will respected his opinion.
Even if i dont like Michael Jackson i still recognize that he has amzing and Off The Wall is a Masterpiece. But i've listen far better music so to me he's not the epitome of talent or good Pop music. That's why i said that.
