But she did with ITZ with electro pop, reggae, dance, adult contemporary, urban pop, etc.
Britney was very hands on with the album from writing, producing, composing, choosing the singles and creating video concepts.

I understand she's tried different things, but if she was to completely step away from her own signature pop sound, would it still work?

Call me when Xtina gets her OWN tribute, let alone TWO.. Getting a tribute is more respectful than participating in one.

Britney may have dabble into other genres on her albums, but has she done an album full of tracks in that one genre of music or at least most of the tracks and had major success with it?
Some of you are missing the point. I can't picture many people caring about an album full of adult contemporary tracks by Britney when it's mainly her dance/up tempo tracks that people love her for. However, I can see Christina doing it because that's sorta her bread and butter, and a lot of that has to do with her being a "good" vocalist.

Jennifer Aniston is genuinely more liked than Angelina Jolie in the press. While, Angelina Jolie is more critically acclaimed and has won an Oscar. Which is why, I made the connection.

So what if Britney just sticks to her niche? What exactly is so bad about that?

Okay but the base of the song is still Pop with a bit of an urban influence. It still isn't a huge shift or a song that will make you go "Why is this on this album?"

Billboard has clear rules for features, and all those millions that have been sold enters X's entire record catalog.
Womanizer only sold 3.1, and not much else ww, and MLJ will outsell that in a week or 2 in the states whereas ww it doesn't even come close.

I think we both know burlesque soundtrack wont outsell Femme Fatale. I didn't say MLJ wouldn't count towards her sales I just said she wasn't the reason it was so successful and MLJ still wont outsell BOMT's WW sales of 9 million.

Not including some elements in a song, here and there.

Blackout was mainly urban pop.

She's going to stick to her niche until she's 65, for example?

Madonna is still doing it at 50. Why not Britney if it keeps the fans happy?

Don't get too ahead of yourself though. Xtina's voice gives her an advantage, but all those accomplishments you listed rely on her latching on to someone/thing else for success. Britney is having middling success at best atm but she's doing it on her own. The issue of Xtina not being as liked still stands. When she puts out another album, she's not going to have Maroon 5 holding her hand.

Womanizer has sold like 7 million worldwide.
DEAD at you bragging about a feature.

If you think about it, Gaga is kinda like Xtins with the whole radical change album to album. Xtina's voice is wayyyyy better than Brits but like everyone says, she doesn't have that "hook" in the game as Brit.
It's a shame cause I would love to be an Xtina stan.

But Christina isn't acclaimed. Her albums generally get much worse reviews than Britneys as several people including myself have already pointed out.

X's American Idol tribute was way better than the 1 for Brit got at the VMAs which was really a presentation for Beyonce.
X gets tribute albums also - Which actually's kinda good.
X's been there, done that.

And as I said, Madonna has more drive and respect. Britney is already burning out on stage and even in sales. How long will she keep that up? Madonna is not having the same success as she was when she was younger anyway. Still, Madonna has done "older" music and was successful at it.

I don't understand what doing a completely different genre has to do with lasting longer.
Britney can continue doing pop and dance music, with a few tracks of different genres, she just needs to MATURE her sound and actually take control of what goes on her albums.

Christina always had her personality which rubbed people the wrong way. She screamed bitchy diva when around her peers and workers. We've heard many tales of X-Tina's attitude and the shadiness she exemplified over the years. Personality is part of the package in this industry and she played the "bitchy" card too long and eventually, no one decided to check for her anymore.
Recently, I've noticed a spark of change in how she interacts with others and portray herself in the media. Maybe it was a growing motherhood intuition developed over time, maybe it was maturity finally catching up to her or maybe it's just a ploy to revive her career, who knows. Personality has always been something that Britney excelled at and her interaction with peers, professionals, associates, and friends have always been for the most part a glowing experience. Brit has always been heralded as the sweet, nice down-to-earth girl who could be extremely shy at some moments and then very out-going the next. Her smile and personality tended to captivate people and that helped propel her to superstardom and is something you either have or you don't have. It's not something that can be taught or learned. It's why you see such people as Beyonce and Britney that succeed and are able to sustain that high-level success over the test of time.
X-Tina is not finished or done as some people like to think or hope. She'll see moderate success here and there. She just recently scored her first multi-platinum single with Maroon 5, granted it was a feature and not solo, but it was something she contributed towards.
