41. Beyoncé - Rather Die Young
Overall Score - 5.583 Highest Score - 10 (3x)/Lowest Score - 1(1x)
Near perfection. Utter bliss. Stylistics meets the Great White Way. The R&B answer to Teenage Dream, but by playing up the drama, it earns its expressions of adolescent angst that much more. Chief among all equals is Bey herself, who sells it like she's sold few songs before. A perfect 9.

this obviously deserved to be higher than Party. Gave it a 7,5.

For the next album tournament, we have four options.
1) 2008 Old Ladies Jam (as inspired by Venus) - X vs. E-MC2 vs. Discipline vs. Hard Candy
2) 2010 Roundup Part 1 - Teenage Dream v. Animal v. Bionic (and maybe Body Talk)
3) 2010 Roundup Part 2 - Loud v. Cannibal v. Speak Now (and allow me Messy Little Raindrops?)
4) These three ladies, with their most critically acclaimed works - Blackout v. The Fame Monster v. B'Day.
The choice is yours.

My fave is 4th obviously and I enjoy 2nd as well

Me neither. My lowest rate was a 5 to Highway Unicorn.

40. Lady Gaga - Bad Kids
Overall Score: 5.667 Highest Score - 10 (2x)/Lowest Score - 1 (2x)
At least this didn't get any zeroes.
Pretty strong, affecting stuff. I feel with Gaga that, with this album in particular, you have to ignore half of what she says - or at least not take it at face value. A lot of voters were probably turned off by Bad Kids's "message," and so didn't hear what is, by no long shot, the best bridge of the album. The chorus is kind of anti-climatic, but still usable. i pretend the verses aren't there (at least until she remixes this into a duet with Bey, which has to happen.)
|
Gave this one a 6,5, I enjoyed the bridge and the chorus! It was catchy, I hate the beginning though.

39. Britney Spears - Drop Dead Beautiful (featuring Sabi)
Overall Score: 5.759 Highest Score - 10(3x)/ Lowest Score - 1(3x)
I gave it a one. Almost nothing redeeming about it at all.

What the hell? drop dead is so ****ing epic, it's so sexy and so urban, didnt know it was "that" hated.

You're dumb. Just FYI, as I said there I gave no negative rates. I gave 10s to Beyoncé and to Lady GaGa as well so gtfo.

He aint exposing ****. I wasn't delusional at all, sorry that I think FF songs > 4 + Born This Way, at least the majority as I said, there were two songs I just can't love as much as I would., the rest for me is just too epic.

38. Beyoncé - Party (featuring Andre 3000 and Kanye West)
Overall Score - 6.157 Highest Score - 10 (2x)/Lowest Score - 1 (1x)
I can understand why people hate it; it's not an alltimer for anyone involved. But for the fact that it makes PERFECT sense in the sequence of 4 (Bey has to get through the teenage emotions of tracks 4-7 to get to the pure, adult love of tracks 8-10) and the fact that it's the closest the world will ever get to hearing how En Vogue circa 1996 would have sounded if they had moved to LaFace Records, it's a 9 for me.
|
Ew! How can you give this boring song a 9? I was wrong my lowest rate was also to Party, a 5.

But I'm quite happy they did that, if dreck like this made it no further than #37.
37. Beyoncé - Dance for You
Overall Score - 6.25 Highest Score - 9 (7x)/Lowest Score - 0 (1x)
No, I did not give it that zero - I gave it a three. But I'm glad the MAJORITY of voters agree when I say that Terius Nash can save his Fantasy Ride leftovers for some other gal. Not here for it.

Oooh

I liked this one!! gave it a 7!

Read my thoughts on it here. You guys are super-foul. I gave it a 9.

LOL, deserved. It is not that good. I gave it a 7,5 but still it's nothing impressive.
