How about Teenage Dream vs. Animal vs. Loud? They're all cutesy, messy and all over the place, reaching high highs and low lows and don't sound like real albums. Those sound more comparable to me than putting the vastly superior body of work that is Body Talk in there.

Interesting. I went the opposite way: mostly quality, with a little bit of personal preference thrown in. There were songs I love that I rated lower because they were too generic or artistically mediocre. And I gave just one 10—to the only song I am truly confident will be regarded as a future pop classic.

I did it kinda the same as you. Actual quality + a little personal preference. Probably not for BTW. That album is so polarizing i just based off which songs i liked most so my taste is going to be opposite of this list.
I feel like the next album rate would be more fair if we compared albums that are stylistically similar. What about contemporary dance-pop classics like Love. Angel. Music. Baby., Blackout and Body Talk? Or those unexpectedly personal efforts like Rated R, Missundaztood and Breakaway that made us suddenly take that artist a lot more seriously? It could be fun.

I would enjoy having a Speak Now rate somewhere but I'm unsure what other albums it could fit in with
I think Body Talk vs. The ArchAndroid vs. Wounded Rhymes would be the ultimate showdown of quality albums. If only that could happen on atrl . A girl can dream, right?
