IMO, the egg was Gaga reaching and trying to be metaphorical. I loved it, but it went over mostly everybody's head. The spider web was beautiful and wasn't too try-hardish. There's also her amazing "o0o0o0o" in between when 'Government Hooker' played, her sliding around the spider's legs, her dancing, her perfect vocals, etc. It was the perfect mixture of subdued and over-the-top.
The BTW performance at the Grammys is one of her best, but it doesn't touch the Japan performance. Though I will admit, I feel the ending of the Grammys performance where Gaga and her dancers have their hands in the air will become part of Gaga's iconography.

I can't watch that video without cringing. It's one of her worst speeches ever, bar the "Oh ****" of course.

I think what made it bad was the end, lmfao. The rest was awesome. I remember screaming and running around my apartment when she won. :')
Oh man, I miss the horns. Every time I looked at them, I got this "ouch" feeling. I mean, they just looked painful. That's how I know they're special. Being able to invoke such reactions is what art's all about.
