I would say due to the success (radio) from TEOG, and the combined success of a (video), commercial success, and a moderate radio support (despite a left field single), it puts MTN at a good position to smash.
Personally, I think Marry The Night is at the same position that Judas was. BTW was #1 for 6 weeks, and the anticipation was high (and really, it's always high with Gaga, but this time it's been really high due to the fact no one had a clue what she'd release next). Plus, MTN is the pivotal single between the types of BTW songs too, and it's also going to be very important to the pace of the album, considering the fact that it's the 4th quarter single (holiday sales) and it could be the be-all/end-all single for the era.
As a fan, I'm super excited for this era because I feel like for the first time since the Judas "leak" that Gaga is on the "right" track.
I'm so ready for this era.
