Interscope is probably trying some damage control against the early leak of the single announcement. I'd be shocked if they released a different song, especially since there is no reason not to release MTN in the US.

OMG some thing happens when something is going right... Marry the Night should be the single all over the world, including US.. if not, Scheisse for everywhere.. It's damage control. Monsters are rabid fans who stop at nothing to get new information and spread it like wildfire on social networks. There was no official word from Gaga that Marry the Night is the next single because it's too early. You and I is still getting strong airplay and pretty good sales, The Lady is a Tramp video is being released Monday, and The Greatest Thing still needs to get its release date and single treatment. Marry the Night shouldn't get released officially for at least another month.

I agree that Interscope is doing damage control. Announcing the next single could harm "You and I," which is still slowly gaining some airplay. I don't think it has run its course just yet. Until then, people need to sit tight.
