I said it's either a buzz single and the first single will be released prior to the release of the album or it's the first single and the second single will be released prior to the release of the album. I know that it's common sense. I was simply implying that if it is just a buzz single then it certainly served it's purpose.

Not to be rude, but I've never read something so stupid. The lead single is the first single of an album. You know leader = ahead = first? If a second single is released, that would be dubbed the current single. With your logic, "Circus", "Edge of Glory", "What's My Name?", "Till The World Ends", "Ring The Alarm", other countless follow-up singles released before an album would be "lead" singles. And that looks and sounds retarded.
