My mother was/is a big fan of Amy so she had her albums on all the time and I became a fan through her. A lot of the general public though, its sad but I can't help feeling like they only looked past the crazy drunken antics and started appreciating her music after her death. Same with MJ and how before he died a lot of people saw him as a creepy child molestor and forgot he was a brilliant performer.

What do you mean? Like putting her with a bunch of generic producers?

I don't want her to go that route. I need catchier songs from her, but I don't want her or her label to feel that they have to sound exactly like those songs from other girls just to compete. :-/

It's a matter of degree. I haven't had a problem with her music videos this era (refusing to acknowledge TEOG's existence), but I would not blame them if they did want to insist on veteran directors, and I especially do hope she uses Francis Lawrence for some video this era.

On the other hand, if they insisted on her working with Dr. Luke, for example, I wouldn't be happy, but moreso cuz I don't like most of his output. At the same time, I wouldn't blame them for putting a tighter selection process on the songs she does come up with.

Either way, if she does what she wants, and I personally enjoy the product (as I have this era), then I'll be happy regardless. Yes, I'd love her to have the same level of success/popularity as she did before, and I understand the importance of that in terms of actually having a long-term career, but that's still a secondary consideration in my mind.

Yeah, like making sure she has a couple of superproducer surefire hits on her albums before letting her experiment with Heavy Metal Lovers and Government Hookers on the rest of the songs. Forcing experienced directors on her videos. Limiting her control over her image (like those spikes and Jo and the album artwork).

I think they should do a mix of both after this era's finished and its like ok Gaga you've done your own thing and its been a success but if we let you stray further away from the general public's tastes sooner or later you'll be struggling. So if they do a mixture of being more restrictive and allowing her creative input we should get another set of TFM like songs/videos which would be extremely good for her after the risky BTW era.

I wouldn't mind, tbh. But I'm hoping more of a "Confessions on a Dancefloor" epiphany rather than an imposition.

Her best era is The Fame Monster. I think she needs to start releasing albums with 9-10 tracks. I don't really like long albums (I think most albums over 12 tracks tend to be "long") if they are going to cluttered with filler, and I think BTW is cluttered with filler.

This era is mostly successful because she's still in the period of being a massive new artist with huge popularity and success - she can get top 10s around the world instantly. When she's settled down into the industry more, what she does with the next album is the true test of her longetivity. Especially if the new album turns out to be even more out there than BTW and Rihanna and Katy are churning out more Dr Generic esque stuff - I know which one I'll prefer but the general public won't.

Okay kids, I have some beef that I want to share.

When you guys went to the Monsterball did it feel life you were all friends with all the other Monsters etc etc? Because for me it was like any other concerts, there were rude people, people trying to push past you to the front, people shouting throughout all of her talking and all that other annoying stuff. But then you go on tumblr and you see all this 'a monster brother has died I never knew him but I can't stop crying crap'. To me that is just a cry for pity, especially when those same people advocate cutting and stuff. I have never seen the little monster unity, never been friends with someone just because of Lady G...has anyone else?

I never went to TMB. I went to The Fame Ball though (with tickets I got for an early 16th birthday present).

I'm thinking about that album, too. She and her label really did pick the right tracks as singles. I would have left off about 4 or 5 tracks. Tracks like "Money Honey," "Again Again," "Brown Eyes" and "Boys Boys Boys" could have been left as demos for fans or something. Just so happens those songs are at the bottom of the CD.

On BTW, I would have left off about 4 or 5, too.

"Electric Chapel" (yes, I'm coming for this)

"Judas" would have been put as a bonus track with "Fashion of His Love."

At the Monster Ball itself I made no friends, and the btich in front of me was smoking even though I asked her not too (I'm allergic to it.)

But at the after-party at a club I made a few "monster" friends.

No, no, no and HELL NO. If anything she could leave Fashion of His Love, Government Hooker and The Queen off.

Does anyone ever stop to think that this is what makes it a great album, pretty much everyone has different favorites, it caters to us all.
