I hereby contend that a)Madonna's 80s singles catalog was wholly superior to that of MJ, Prince, Janet and Bruce, and that b)the world will never see a better compilation than The immaculate Collection. And that didn't even include all of her 80s hits.

I just don't agree.
As far as Janet and Bruce are concerned, yeah that makes sense.
But a better catalog than Michael and Prince? Girl, step to the side!

Madonna released NO bad singles in the 80s. Even Sidewalk Talk has its charms.
Can't same the same for the other two members of the 80s trinity. If I never have to heard most of the singles off of Bad or Batdance again, I'll be much happier.

True tea She as a popstar and her music (or atleast the singles) were flawless up till Like A Prayer. Her music afterwards I don't use and her personality became so dull with the Kabbalah/fake British accent. Not to mention all the CRAP MOR ballads she released consecutively
It's why The Immaculate Collection ***** on GHV2 (musically, commerically) despite the crappy remixes

Considering Off The Wall was released in the 70's I'm almost inclined to believe this. Minus PYT. That ***** on Everything. EVERYTHING!

They all kick rocks on most of everything in post-80s life. TO THIS DAY.
And that's not even counting the ALBUM TRACKS that radio rushed to play, like Physical Attraction, Burning Up, Where's The Party. All of those are brill too.

Sis, how could the man that could have given me the PERFECT singles lineup of Thriller turn around and release garbage after garbage from the next album? No wonder they all fell off the top spot so quickly.

I mean do I seriously have to list the ones out of that group that I don't like for you to understand that I just don't agree?
You love all of those Madonna songs..... I do not.
There are definitely some amazing singles in that group, but there are a few that I can't stand.
It's just my opinion.....

Angel is my favorite you bitch.
BTW, has anyone since Madonna made more perfect bridges and middle eights? The bridge in Angel is ... I mean, it's flawless. And her laugh afterwards.

I think her 90s and early 2000s outwork is easily better than her 80s material.

I wouldn't have a problem if you came for Gambler, Who's That Girl, Causing a Commotion, True Blue or Dear Jessie.
But that's it.

Sis, there aren't enough crying gifs in the world to express how saddened I am with myself for forgetting the first ballad I ever fell in love with.

in my opinion madonna's 80's work is equivalent to her 90's - 00's work. I dont think one set of albums is greater than the other, they all have great quality material.
