Except there's been PLENTY of times I've seen people here say they haven't heard (insert major Madonna album).

Once upon a time I would've said no. But after seeing people act like she's the queen of originality, I have to say yes.

She's a great artist who has indeed paved the way for many of today's pop stars, including a certain one who gets compared to her the most, but I really loathe how now paying homage to the freakin' woman has now become a case of "copying" her. Bitch, please. Let's not forget how Madonna copied others WITHOUT even having the consideration to credit them.

I can understand that with Hard Candy, but "Get Together" is one of her most sensual, most purely emotional songs of her career. It's the best thing she's done since Bedtime Stories.

The actual quality of her music decreased as soon as she started taking herself seriously as an "artist."
