Rihanna's fans seem obsessed with counting her 2010 sales...since when did end of year charts count sales from the previous year. BTW 2011 sales are higher than Loud's. Oh god... there is no one girl who "dominates the pop industry". Some of Rihanna;s success is only because she has been out longer than other artists.

She scores hits effortlessly, and is very consistent... But I don't think that's enough. Without the UK, her biggest market to bolster her, her numbers aren't great. She still hasn't had a #1 album in the US after releasing 5, and she still hasn't been able to pull off a massive arena tour on the scale of her rivals. She's obviously no flash in the pan, but she still has a way to go.

I think that works for and against her. The reason she can release so frequently is because she never feels "overexposed", but at the same time she's never really been able to dominate like some of her rivals have. She's always consistent, but she's never been the biggest.
