I consider myself a Quebecer as much as I do a Canadian.
Anyway, at the end of his term we'll have had Harper for 10 straight years. God help us.

Stephen Harper really isn't that bad. My dad likes to call him "the best of the worst." If we had been stuck with Stephane Dion, back when they tried to pull that coalition ********, we'd be in FAR worse shape then now. Even that Ignetiff (however you spell his name) would have probably been worse.

And I don't actually know very many people who say "eh" either.
There are some, but not very many... usually just when we're joking about being Canadian, though, honestly.

I say it all the time.... and so do all my friends. I didn't even notice it till I was in L.A., and someone pointed it out.

It's basically like the USA, but without all the majors flaws and bad side. It's a great country to live in with very liberal thoughts and freedom. I live in Quebec so it's even more different. We have a little of Europe - French - inside us too. Makes a great mix.
When you live in Canada, you're laughing when American politicians try to say that USA is the "land of freedom". I visited the USA two times and was amazed by how ridiculous some things are. Just the ads on the TV made me want to puke.

Most Canadians don't realize they say "eh"
We usually say "I know, eh?" instead of "I know, right?"

This, except the USA is like a melting pot of cultures, whereas Canada is more like a salad bowl. That's what my geography teacher used to say.

I'm from Canada and I always thought the "aboot" stereotype came from America, because when I watch American reality shows (VH1, Oxygen, Bravo) they all say "aboot". Especially Alexis Bellino from Real Housewives of OJ.

I'll keep that in mind, see if I catch myself saying it at all. I might just be a flop Canadian.

I wish I could travel around Canada more then I have. I've only been to Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, and through British Columbia to Vancouver.
I would love to see Montreal, and the Atlantic coast.
Vancouver is my favourite Canadian city, and happily called it home for a year and half.

You want to see Montreal, trust me. So far I've been to Ontario (obviously), Quebec, Alberta, BC, and Nova Scotia.
