Mine are always neon EVERYTHING. Neon paint, neon furniture, neon flowers, neon carpet, etc. It would be so bright and have every color in the damn color wheel in it. I'd be a terrible interior designer.
I used to spend a HELLA long time building and making everything meticulous, but now I mostly just take the pre-made houses and remodel them as I see fit. It takes less time, that way I can start playing sooner.
I hate decorating. There's SO MANY different styles, one room ends up being ultra modern, the other ends up being traditional, the whole house ends up being a mess of a billion different styles.
BTW, here's the house I'm recreating (with a foundation )

i will be the best interior design. I built a huge gothic castle once. it took me almost 8 hours to built. the flooring was red , I had a fireplace, and a bear rug and some other fancy things.

I agree, that's why I always try to find a bigger one that way I have more to work with. The house in The Sims 3 on the hill overlooking and surrounded by water
