No. What differentiates this from the remixes is that it's Gaga's song through-and-through. Changing the state name does not = bringing someone else's name in to try and get more people to buy it. I doubt this will affect sales that music, so it's more of a novelty thing.

Today's artists have the weirdest marketing tactics ever.

I doubt this will affect the sales that much. Those state versions will likely clutter the very bottom of the iTunes chart but won't make huge impacts like a last minute remix would.

I'm still confused about this. This songs is closely personal, and still she changes it in order to sell more copies of it? Money wins over "art" here? Srly the songs is so specific that the "ppl can adopt this as their own" doesnt work here. But whatever. She's still an artist who has to sell songs. Amen.

Lady Gaga really doesn't give a **** about Luc or the meaning behind this song to be honest. She wouldn't be denying Luc on every interview if she really cared... or if this song was that meaningful.
