Im still a nonbeliever that Jo is hosting. I think Perez tweeted it to Jo so only fans would know that Gaga is hosting the VMAs. I think he wanted to be a bit more mischievous than just tweeting saying gagas hosting the VMAs

Death at people this Jo **** will be cute. Not only does it scream corny and try hard like most of the general public views her, but most people don't even know who Jo is. If she were to host she should host as herself in normal clothing. That would be cute.

Yeah, and nobody else took her seriously, either. I think the transition period with Paparazzi and Bad Romance (leading up to the Telephone video) did the most for her in terms of expanding her audience and really cemented her status as a pop culture force to be reckoned with (it was also when she really started to move albums en masse), and that's basically when she started to augment her image as something more than just a party girl who wore kooky outfits.

I've explained this before: I stanned for Gaga before TF was released and before I knew what the Hot 100 and Hot 200 were. I'd never let the charts dictate who and what I like. Just look at the **** that tops them.
