People have been comparing their voices like for ever, so this isn't the first time. I never heard any similarity between their voices tbh.

Pink and Kelly have always been compared to each other since they're both the only few girls that are in the pop/rock vein. I read reviews of Funhouse and they compared Pink to Kelly too, so I don't see the problem? That comparison's been made for years now. It says a lot that there's only one other female performer that can be compared to Kelly, and I think Pink is one of the best in current music, so it's a compliment.

I never understood the comparisons to Pink and Kellys voice. There music styles are kind of similar, but Pink has nothing on Kelly vocally. Their ballads sound nothing alike, their upbeat pop/rock sounds nothing alike. Idk just to me there is no comparison.

This guy has heard the song and is going to review it.
@GoerMusikKills
"Bloggers expect Kelly Clarkson's new single in your inboxes in 3, 2, 1..."
"it's so mellow and cute. TBH the leaks >>>> but i can see why they chose it. Reminds me of colbie caillit"
He said he will post a review of the song in a few hours on his blog: http://www.free-wired.com/

If Kelly Clarkson's single is as good as the initial reviews were, it will easily climb up the charts. "Moves Like Jagger" was the #1 digital seller last week and it only managed to sell 160,000 copies and guaranteed them a top ten spot in the Hot 100 (and radio play hasn't been great for this song). There are some songs coming out soon with a lot of potential from Rihanna, Gaga, Beyonce, and Adele, but it takes a lot more time and effort to get a third, fourth, or seventh, in Rihanna's case, to climb up the charts.
Kelly has everything in her favor. Radio is ready for a brand new single from Kelly. When "Let Me Down" leaked, a few radio stations even started spinning the track, but I do agree with everything "Mr. Know It All" sounds like a pretty bad title, nearly as bad as "My Life Would Suck Without You," but Kelly's already proven a title doesn't mean anything when it comes to her chart success.
I'm guessing a top three charting for the first week of release.

I don't think so. There is not much hype around this, well, not as much as the hype around My Life Would Suck Without You.
Even if she tops iTunes - it's harder to top the Hot 100 chart with digital downloads alone today. The only artists who did it this year were Britney and Gaga - both pulling over 400k+.
If she pulls 150k in the first week, which is my prediction for it, she will land in #10-8. Top 3 is a long shot.

Wow, the leaks are supposedly better, and it's Colbie Caillat sounding? Not here for that

4. Someone like you is a ballad and it's summer so that won't smash until the summer is over.
5. Kelly her lead singles are always highly anticipated so mark my words it will go #1 on itunes. #1 on hot 100 ? a maybe. Depends when and how it's released.

Britney's still on her third smash single, with almost 100 million audience and a top five iTunes placement. Moreover, she's performing it at the VMAs on the 28th, the Britney Spears tribute night. A #1 isn’t out of question.

A top 10. A top 5 would be great.

He posted some lyrics:
Get it through your head, you don't know me at all/So don't pretend, like I stole your heart
You and me, we'll never be, can't you see, realistically
|
That is not a good comparison. And those lyrics are corny as hell, and they don't even rhyme.

and apparently the lyrics are fake. The person who wrote the blog has listened to the song and he just put out those lyrics for fun. He is on SIN and even admitted those are not the real lyrics

+1.
Rihanna is going strong with Cheers, already 19 on iTunes, and Adele is a bomb ready to erupt.

"We will never be" at the end wasn't in the post.
I never said that they're not.

Well...My Life Would Suck Without You debuted at #1 on the Digital Downloads chart and also went #1 on the Hot 100 for 2 weeks.
It sold about 280K downloads. I think that "Mr. Know It All" could top that and get to 300K based off of the great reviews, the song should be great. Especially if she performs at the VMA's. She also has a decent amount of Country fans watching her to see what she does next.
I think Kelly will get her 3rd #1 on the Hot 100!

I'm not too worried. A song doesn't need to hit #1. SUBG went #2 on Hot 100 but it made every "best songs of the last decade" list. Kelly has one thing going for her that not many others in pop do... the beast that has become reality singing competitions. X-Factor US is starting soon, they could easily show her music video or a clip of it (which is what they did on American Idol with MLWSWY). Or they can feature her new single in the background and that's great promo (20+ million viewers). Every season a contestant on Idol sings a KC song and that right there is free promo.
The singing shows are the highest rated shows on TV and every artist wants that exposure, and Kelly will always be given a slot since she's the one who started it all. X-Factor, Idol, and even The Voice. Blake Shelton's a coach; not only is he friends with Kelly but they are under the same management company, so it wouldn't be hard to book her for a live show down the line. She could have great promo ahead in this era.
The VMA's do what every award show and Glee episode does.... songs registers high on itunes and then quickly fall. I just think Kelly's in a good place. It may not debut at #1 but it will still do well.
