Uhm, how can they tribute her and not give her the awards, whievers in the same caetgory as Brit this year will loose. VMAs are all about Brit this year.
They must know she is kicking butt in the polls after the 1st day release and decided to give the queen the tribute since she will win the award.

Britney is the Queen of VMAs. No one has ever performed better than Britney on that stage, and no one ever will.
I got a feeling that P!nk is gonna take home her only award.

Well she did get the Best Pop Video award in 2006, which was also fan-voted AND her only nomination that year. Maybe we can get it done again!!! (Voting for the Best Video with a Message award ends on the 16th, though, so vote away NOW!!!!!!)
