When PF first came out, I remember a lot of Rihanna stans praising the song saying "Rihanna will give Nicki her first top 10" and now its like the majority of them want it to flop. Can someone comment on that? I understand some of you think that it'll affect Cheers in some way, but if it does I think it'll be a positive effect if any at all. I for one think it's possible for Cheers and Fly to dominate together. Cheers is already on its way up and there's no stopping it, hopefully Fly has the same fate, but who knows it could FLOP the way a lot of you want it to.

well me personally...I just dont like the song..never have...also I just think that a lot of ppl may be over it now...we been hearing about it being a "single" goin on almost a year...and all the pushbacks and confusion was just draining. All leading to possible reasons why one would be over "fly"

True but I think the "confusion" is limited to the people on stan boards like ATRL because they're the only ones who follow single-releases and stuff like that. I'm sure the general public has no idea the song "Fly" even exists let alone are tired of it because that song has had no promotion at all, and as you know the general public >>>>>>> stans when it comes to the massive success of a song. I for one dont even know how the song will perform anymore, but I can assure you with Rihanna being on it it can't do half bad I dont think. Even AOTL didnt do that bad because of Rihanna's power but that had no promo and im sure Fly will be promoted some.

I don't want it to flop, I just don't think it's some mega-smash that some people thing it is.

Not so much on the Em comparison though. Nicki still has a LOT to prove in order for mainstream audiences to really warm up to her whereas Bruno has established himself as a pop staple and lets not even get into Em's power. Rihanna will be a HUGE part of Fly's success (if it is a success at all) and SB's recent success will give it that extra push it needs. Regardless of how well the song does though, Im ready for Rihanna's sexy ass in the music video.
