I don't know a lot about Britney, but it seems to me that...
If she could pull out a deeper album, an album that seemed to be made by HER and not by her producers, it would be after In The Zone (it seems to be the album that she had the most input - am I right?). But then came all the mess, going bald, umbrellas on cars, and stuff.
Blackout, Circus and Femme Fatale have some very good songs but none of them has real artistic input by Britney herself...
Well it's sad when you have people calling Britney the stopgap between Madonna and GaGa.....
I have only seen one person say that. and Britney has said it herself that she does what she wants, if she wants to do party music she will if she wants to do something different she will and you will just have to deal.
LEM this blog is perfect. FF is a good album & I enjoy it but it's time for her to move on & get more creative control. And grow artistically. She's sort of flatlined since Blackout. Femme Fatale is like Blackout 2.0 . Circus is just terrible in general.
So let me just say something. Britney does party songs? Yes, because that's her trendmarck, it's what we expect and want from Britney Spears. But it's that all that her albums are about? NO. You can go through Blackout, Circus and Femme Fatale and you will find at the very least 4 songs that are extremely well produced, with great lyrics and somehow bring something new to the table. I dare not to.
And to say that Britney still makes the same songs from her old days is wrong, her songs get more mature like her, grow like her and improve like her, without losing the fun spirit that we love. And i don't don't know about you, but that's what i want from Britney Spears.

But Blackout and Femme Fatale are her best albums...
LEM has a point but I already gave up on that posibility to be honest.
I remember when we started to get some news about her 7th album we all thought that this would be her "Ray Of Light" but at the last minute Jive put Dr. Luke on charge and well you all know the rest.
Also Britney still can make dance music but I wish she would have a different direction instead of just "party songs". I mean dance music shouldn't be only those tired Dr. Luke party songs.

Don't you think it's too easy to say "I do what I want"?
I think he's right... no one takes Britney seriously.
