I don't know if I could date one or why anyone would. IMO it would be extremely heartbreaking and painful dating someone mentally handicapped knowing you can't have a normal conversation or do regular things couples tend to do.

I agree with everything, except with the part of it being extremely difficult. I don't mean to sound mean or anything, but it's almost a 0% chance of me dating a mentally handicapped person. I would want to do things a normal couple would do, like walk in the park, talk for hours over the phone, etc. It would be very hard in that case.

See I don't completely believe in this either. It is like when people say "I don't see race" or things like that...of course you do! There are things about every race that I am into.
