The problem with Loud is the concept of each song is different and doesn't work that well as an album unlike Rated R. Individually, every song is great but it's all over the place and doesn't show any artistic growth compared to Rated R.
I actually find Loud and Rated R to be equally as strong of albums. Loud is a total melting pot of everything Rihanna loves and I commend her for being able to take almost every main genre and make a cohesive album out of them.

I don't feel much connection with Rihanna as a person with Loud, which I detest. We stan because we can feel the connection with our fave.
Beyonce can dance, perform intricate choreo, etc and winning multiple awards, etc and Gaga with her 'alleged' creativity and **** but we don't stan for them because there is no connection with them. I wanna feel that connection in an album.
