My Dad, who spends his whole damn time at work to make it rain on them hoes and who doen't listen to music at all not only knows Beyoncé's name (which is great since he can't remember Rihanna's) but even almost STAN for her. And he's ALWAYS mentioning that other black girl who is much less beautiful (he means Rihanna).
My Mom likes her a lot too.

Mind you my parents are not into this kind of things. But when the bitch promo'd 4 lately and was everywhere in French TV, they were hyperventilating at Run the World

My mom loves Beyoncé and has a tremendous amount of respect for her talent and work ethic. She also likes Gaga, not as much as Bey, but she always gives her props for her talent and work ethic, and finds her quirkiness to be quite funny and interesting. I'm actually very surprised that she isn't put off by her eccentricity, because apart from Elton John she's not really into "weird" artists at all. Mention Tori Amos or Björk to her for example, and she'll roll her eyes. She likes Christina and Pink, she considers them to be very talented and free-spirited. She LOVES Amy Winehouse, Adele and Joss Stone. She likes Janelle, but finds her constant wear of the tuxedo to be irritating as hell.

Oh, of course she loves the classics, she was a young adult in the 80s, and therefore became a rabid fan of MJ, Madonna, Springsteen, The Eurythmics, Janet and the like. She's not big on Prince though, lol.

She can't stand Rihanna on ANY capacity (mind you, I'm not much of a Rih fan myself, and she makes me look like a stan by comparison). She used to like Britney when she could perform, but no longer. Basically, anyone who doesn't have much talent, she has no use for. If they use sex or any other gimmick to sell themselves without the talent, then her dislike for them runs even deeper.

Like most people in her age group and beyond, she believes that the music of the past ***** all over what is made today (and I'm inclined to agree with her). But she at least keeps an open mind when it comes to new talent, and that I like.

my mum loves gaga. she even stole my BTW cd and constantly plays it in her car. her favourite songs from it are sheisse, HML and GH lol. she likes the people i like and dislikes the people i dislike.

my dad doesn't care about pop singers in general but thinks she has a good voice but that she dresses weird.

My mother rarely ever mentions Rihanna. The only time we ever discuss Rihanna is when she performs on award shows. My mom does like several Rihanna songs ("Pon De Replay", "Don't Stop The Music", "Disturbia", etc.) and works out to them occasionally. She did, at one point, ask me if Rihanna was born a man, as she appears to be a transsexual. But I took it as a compliment. Oh, and she is very quick to make forehead or live vocal jokes.

As for Britney, well, she absolutely hates her and thinks that she is a talentless ****, and refuses to go to the Femme Fatale Tour with me. Anytime a Britney song or mention comes on the radio/television, she rolls her eyes and is ready to smash the damn thing.
