I knew something was different about this when I came to post the link! It was probably a mod, since I don't think anyone else has the power to change thread titles aside from the OP.

Three?
Only one Britney fan (CaptainMusic) talked about the video of "Rolling In The Deep" not deserving any awards for the video. No one else did.
Yet you replied to him saying that Britney (the artist in his avatar) didn't deserve any awards this year for her videos. And then bringing the Grammys which have nothing to do with the VMA's.

MrTelephoneMan and someone else said it, too. And who cares? That was a page ago. I've been passed that. We're on something NEW. And it was Raphael who brought up the Grammys; I clarified what he was saying. I don't give a damn about Britney or Adele not receiving VMAs. I just stated my opinion on the matter. I won't lose sleep either way.

And when people jump into an argument from a day or so ago, they should at least know what the hell they are talking about. And no, I don't think Britney deserves a single award this year.
Also, who are the front-runners for Best Male Video?
Chris Brown, "Yeah x3"
Eminem, "Love The Way You Lie"
Bruno Mars, "Just The Way You Are"/"Grenade"
???
???
Who else?

It's pretty simple. Britney fans are pressed and think the VMAsare something Adele needs. She doesn't need it. She'll get her due at the Grammys for the merit of her music and not some stan war.

I'd say Kanye and Cee-Lo, though people like Usher, Nelly, and Wiz Khalifa (among others) could always sneak up on us.

Good calls.
Which video is Usher eligible for? "DJ Got Us Falling In Love?"
Based on the people you just named, I predict...
Chris Brown, "Yeah x3" (though I think "Look at Me Now" could be the surprise)
Kanye West, "All of the Lights"
Cee Lo, "Forget You"
Bruno Mars, "Grenade"
Eminem, "Love The Way You Lie"
I think Wiz Khalifa might get into only Best New Artist, similar to Kid Cudi and Drake.... or Hip Hop video.
Is Bruno Mars eligible for Best New Artist? He was nominated last year for "Nothin' On You."

If this was directed at me of course I know what I was talking about. You have the right to express your opinion about whatever artists videos you want but also whoever said something about the video of "Rolling In The Deep" has the right to express their opinion about that video without the need of you bringing the artist on their avatar.

Had to fill in the background since it was pure white and part of the logo you couldn't see otherwise...

Yep, "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" is eligible. This reminded me, though, that Enrique Iglesias could also be a spoiler nominee if the voters decide to consistently pick at least one non R&B/hip-hop nominee.
For Kanye, though, I honestly think that they might go for "Runaway" in all categories, especially since he closed the 2010 VMAs with it. However, they may also split their votes and pick "Runaway" for the tech awards (and probably VOTY) and AOTL for the other general/genre awards.
I honestly don't know about Bruno Mars. I think that the VMAs consider all videos that come from an artist's first major album to receive airplay on MTV to be eligible. So under that category, Bruno Mars would be eligible because JTWYA and Grenade come from his first full album. However, I don't know if they have eligibilty rules based on prior nominations or wins like the Grammys...

No, you don't. You accused me of bringing up the Grammys, when it was Raphael who did that, Britney was already apart of the VMA discussion before I even brought her up and it was more than one person who said it. Instead of sticking your nose in an old argument which we've moved passed and getting defensive because I said Britney didn't deserve an award for any video this era, read and then post. That's the end of that.

I wonder if it will be like 2009 where R&B and Hip Hop dominated Male Video. I didn't even realize all the nominees in my predictions were urban.

Anyway, the nominations have been announced August 3-4 the last two ceremonies, and before that at the end of July/basically around the same time. I don't think people should expect them anytime soon.
