It's not even a matter of opinion, it's just commom sense:

Nominees for Video of the year 2004
Outkast - Hey Ya
Jay-Z - 99 Problems
Usher - Yeah!
Britney Spears - Toxic
D12 - My Band

Logic tells me that it should have won Best Female Video and Pop Video because I don't see any other Female or Pop Video nominated on Video Of The Year.

So much for "professionals" know better.

When I said it's his opinion, I clearly was talking about his opinions on Adele (which I do not even care about because she's winning the important awards - Grammys ). I wasn't talking about something that happened over a half a decade ago.

And didn't Kelly Clarkson beat out three Video of the Year nominees thanks to fan-voting? "Single Ladies" lost Female Video and Pop Video but won Video of the Year. So regardless of "logic," these things occur under any voting system. My point still stands: it will be a GaGa vs. Britney battle in every category, regardless of quality. I would rather professional and industry insiders to vote. At least they are allowed one vote per category. This isn't exactly the case with online voting.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! It's not just me!! The fan voting has really ruined the VMAs. Just bring back Viewers Choice, let the stanbases go at it there and Best New Artist, and let the panels vote on the rest of the awards. I'm sorry if Britney was robbed for "Toxic" (personally still think 99 Problems should have won over Hey Ya but that's me) but she won with "Piece of Me" with the panels (I think...?) regardless of them being makeup awards or "sorry we embarassed you in Vegas" sympathy ones.

At this point, my favorite videos of the year are "Gone Baby Don't Be Long" and "All Of The Lights" and I expect neither to get a nomination.

I think he definitely has a chance at nominations though, just not for that. I'm sticking with Yeah 3x for either Best Dance Video or Best Choreography. LAMN/Deuces for Best Hip Hop video. And LAMN for best collaboration. Those are his best shots, in my opinion.
