Here's what 2 make the2011 VMA'S BETTER:
#1: Bring back every category ever existed in the entire history of the awards. (Including Best Video From A Film, MTV2 Artist, and Best Alternative Video),So all of our favorite artists get a fair chance to win a moonman.
#2: Keep the genre categories intact like Best Rock video (my favorite) and have all genres represented.
#3: Allow the general public to vote in all the general categories including Best New Artist and keep the voting time in all categories open untill each award is presented. The time cut off in the other categories have cost alot of our favorite and more deserving artists moonmen over the years.
#4:Like I said last year, we should have easy access to vote without having to fuss over the rigid rules of logging in and filling out passwords which also cost alot of our favorites moonmen as well.
#5: Bring back Best Video That Should've Won A Moonman. After all, our favorites deserve a second chance, don't you agree?
#6: I'm sure we can all agree for better writers and a host. Cause I know everyone keeps complaining about how some hosts aren't even funny or have no musical knowledge what-so-ever .I won't mention any names. But I'm sure we can all agree that the show should be about the music.
They need to rid fan-voting for good. I can live without fans vs. fans.
+1. It worked fine from 1984 to the mid 2000s, so I don't see why it wouldn't work now anymore...
Also, i disagree with the idea mentioned above about bringing back every award there ever existed. There would be so many awards being handed out that it would get rid of whatever little value a VMA still has. Plus, it wouldn't make a difference. MTV can only present so many awards in a 2-hour telecast (with performances), so everybody would be bitching about why their fave's award was left off the telecast. And if they did fewer performances and present more awards, everybody would be bitching about how boring the show was...

No because if britney and gaga are nominated then the chances of adele winning in any fan voted categories are null. She will have the grammys anyway.
If it wasnt fan voted, britney would probably get snubbed like she always does, and im not here for that. At least when it's the fans voting britney actually has a big chance at winning

Well if we had no fan-voting the TRUE singer would come out, and Britney Spears would have still a great chance without fan-voting

What does Adele have to do with anything? It would not only give Adele a fair chance, but others who do not have the Internet stanbase to contend better as well.
I'm not really here for these silly little battles between Gaga and Britney fans and gays who think their divas are representations of what a "good video" is. I don't use fan-voted awards. It takes away from the merit.

Exactly.
Kinda sad some fanbases would prefer if it were fan voting only because they know if it was left to the respected individuals and professionals then their gerls would leave these award shows empty handed, and that speaks VOLUMES.

Because adele doesnt deserve **** for RITD, but if it was left to Industry voters i know she would probably end up winning something for that boring video.
And yes i prefer fan voting because it guarantees britney a larger chance at winning an award that she actually deserves.
The fact that THIS video won nothing when it ***** on every video nominated that year is ridiculous and proves my point. So yes, i am pressed and im all here for fan voting, hopefully your fave goes home empty-handed.

That IS your opinion. I didn't even mention anything about Adele, so your sudden obsession with her is telling. I'm talking about artists who have fans who do not need to set up a million accounts and use all of these faux IP addresses for their favorites to win an award that is close to being irrelevant to the public. If your favorites' videos are truly good, it would be appreciated no matter if it's voted on by professionals or not.
And for some reason, you think that over-the-top, choreographed videos by your favorite plastic girls = "great video." At one point in time, that **** didn't automatically = VMA win or sweep. There are many aspects of a "good video." Just because you girls are too slow to get a certain video without these factors do not make them "boring" or "uninteresting" to others. And really, Britney does NOT deserve not one award this year.

But really CP - Toxic was the second best video nominated for Video of the Year in 2004 (because NOTHING was topping 99 Problems) and, without a doubt, the BEST video nominated for Female Video. It was royally hosed.
I don't find anything special about Britney's videos, and they surely aren't among the videos of the year.
"Toxic" was a good video, and was snubbed, but nann one of these videos she put out this year are great. Britney dancing and singing on a mic in a video = so innovative. NOT I can leave it.
