She has 10 #1's (In the US alone), she has the 10th most highest selling album this year in the US, she has a very successful tour (lets pretend Dallas never happened), and she is always being sought after by the big names in music, especially in the hip-hop world.

Oh, no, Rihanna is definitely successful. But she's constantly doing endorsement photoshoots and commercials, always promoting her music, releasing music constantly, making music videos quite frequently, planning her next move, making business deals, carrying out business deals, planning her music career, coming up with new concepts and looks, and really, working her ass off (not to mention touring like crazy). For her not to have very many Grammy's and to be considered one of the lesser pop girls when she does all of these things is simply dumb.
A prime example is Rated R not being nominated for any Grammy's.

Really? I kept seeing people ask why does she look like a white womn.
She looked very light in that one picture where she was wearing the blue Louboutins and had the small black dress on with the sunglasses, but otherwise I've never seen her look that light, and I would never say she looked like a white woman or bleached her skin.

Anyway, I don't think it's either of those things but I can see how you may think of Loud that way. Plenty of people do.
She also has like 0 Grammy's (I know thats untrue but she doesn't have very many) mediocre album sales in the US and hit and miss tour results.

lol thats the thing though she's naturally light. She makes herself darker.

You made a public blog questioning whether you can even stan for Rihanna, and one of the reasons why you weren't sure is because she hadn't replied to you on twitter.

And Rihanna is now in a production meeting to figure out what happened. She said she will keep us posted, so we are now waiting for some news on what really happened.

that's a respectable amount for a pop star.
Non of them are for anything noteworthy besides like Rap collabo of the year, and technically it's not even her own song. Like, it is her song but not entirely. If that makes sense.
Well when everyone was going in on her about following Chris Brown I tweeted her that she shouldn't worry about the haters. Like she said it's not like you guys are getting married. Next thing I knw I was blocked.
I just realised that before Only Girl, Rihanna had only won Jay-Z assisted Grammys. Am I the only one who completely forgets that Jay-Z is in Umbrella, even when listenin' to it?
I think the fact that it is RIHANNA'S signature song makes me block Jay-Z out of the song completely, haha.
It is respectable, yes, but her last 3 albums have been great and she deserves more after them. Plus she's won Grammy's for the wrong things.
It's very rare when the Grammys take a pop star seriously. Look @ Katy Perry getting all those noms and walking away with none. Rihanna was lucky to get one from the GGGB era, which is comparable to the TD era.
Rihanna just needs to work on building herself as a respectable artist, then the rest will fall into place.

Umbrella got Rap/Sung Collaboration so in a way without Jay she wouldn't have got that. I agree she deserves a little more respect especially now because it seems like shes working harder.
