 Thanks, sis. It was no big deal. Sorry it's just my history with Beyonce runs deeper than the 4 years I loved Rihanna. I still support her and love her just as much tho.

Stanning for J. Lo was like stanning for Rihanna or Katy back in the day. 
I understand that. My whole blog post about nearly becoming a Beyonce stan was kind of due to a similar situation to that. I've loved and supported Rihanna since she debuted and I've always simply been a fan of Beyonce, but only a huge fan since IASF. So even though I said I was becoming a stan I decided not to mostly because I don't want to stan for someone unless I have a huge devotion to them and history with them, which I don't with Beyonce.

Honestly, Im gonna say it. I just re-watched Dreamgirls, and I think I figured out I hate Beyonce because of Dreamgirls. I was literally in LOVE with Jennifer Hudson. I was like 8 when she was on Idol and I cried when she got voted off. Then when she got Dreamgirls I was SOO happy! I bought B'day before the movie came out, and loved it - and its the reason its my favorite album, because I liked it before I hated Beyonce. I hated Beyonce once the movie was released because she was a bitch to Jennifer in the movie, and supposedly a bitch outside of it according to numerous rumors, and I dont care if its stupid, I know its weird, but I just have this weird thing against Beyonce.
That was random, but I had to say it somewhere.

from what I've read in this thread- I would disagree that WMN? is generic. I wouldn't say it is. It's like an updated "Rude Boy" and is a sound that Rihanna coined in mainstream in a way. I just hope she doesn't keep churning out WMN's 2.5, 4.0, etc in the near future, especially with this EP. It'd get stale.

Its like every time I like Beyonce, one of my friends compares her to Rihanna or Jennifer Hudson and it gets me so mad and I hate her again.

I'm not sure how mature you were at the time but maybe it's just stuck with you because of how old you were and what your mind state was like at that age that you viewed it. Being young and seeing someone act like that in a film can have on effect on what you think of said person later on, of course.
