End of the World or whatever it is called was not a huge hit single. HIAM didn't perform as well as BTW. So it's not like she was tearing up the charts. Most of the conversations about Britney has been about her videos and sleep walking through performances not her music.

If you are going to talk about selling an album without a hit the best comparison would be Alicia Keys.

You completely missed the point of the post. Also, that album was 7 years ago. Bey has also opened with huge numbers despite mediocre single positions in the past, but that is NAWT what this is about.

This is about all the bragging they did in SYG about Beyoncé needing a hit record just to even match Femme Fatale's first week, and obviously like HDD is predicting she didn't need one.

No. They aren't. RTW wasn't so much of a flop, as it was a downer. For those socially-inept, or wherever "Best Thing I Never Had" has yet to have made a positive impact, RTW is still extensively carrying the album. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if it's actually hurting sales (for those that haven't heard already heard the leak).
