I hope Last Friday Night (TFIG) does not go the way of many legitimate hits that reached No. 2 on the Hot 100 but were blocked by even bigger songs:
Poker Face blocked by Boom Boom Pow (yes, Poker Face got a week at no. 1 but could've gotten so many more weeks)
Bad Romance by Tik Tok
Dynamite by Love the Way You Lie/Just the Way You Are (?)
F**kin Perfect by Firework, Grenade, Hold It Against Me, etc.
F**k You by Born This Way
S&M (like Poker Face, it got a week, but was block by E.T.)
DID EVERYBODY READ IT YET???????????????????????????

Katy Perry- Last Friday Night (TGIF)
Lady Gaga- The Edge of Glory
Gaga has gotten good gains on radio.
Katy perry, as always, excellent on digital--were just waiting for the radio updates!

I think Super Bass can reach the top 5 on the hot 100, but I'm pretty sure its digital sales will go down in a few weeks

Pitbull's best chance of nabbing that no 1 on the hot 100 is this week and possibly next week. in a few weeks, katy's radio will reach the top and hopefully (with a remix) will have digital downloads on lock. the edge of glory will challenge the top spot in a few weeks times, too.

LMFAO O_O impressed by three versions of Party Rock Anthem in the top 100 for itunes!
Super Bass also has a second version in the top 100, it has been gaining steadily...it will add some more sales to Nicki Minaj's single.

Quite impressed also with the longevity with Firework (especially), Grenade, Dynamite, and Just the Way You Are.. all in the top 100 on itunes

8/9 Last Friday Night (Could easily change as its just started to climb the charts)
