Hollywood, do you know how many viewers have the MMVAs? I know it's kinda big in the Canadian music world, but is it as big as the VMAs if you compare it to the USA? (If you consider that Canada has a population of 30M instead of 300M for the USA obviously)

The MMVAs are probably the biggest music awards show here in Canada... very popular with teenagers and 20 year olds.... The only other awards show we have here is the Junos (which is all Canadian artists, hence it sucks).....

I would say MMVAs= VMAs Canadian Edition

They normally get a good number of international stars and Canadian artists
Previous presenters and performers include: Kardasians, Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, Drake, Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Rihanna, etc......

Oh, thanks! Well, yeah I'm Canadian too and I've watched the past MMVAs but they're not such a big deal in Quebec

So, i wanted to know if they were in the rest of the Canada.

Yeah, they are bigger in Anglo-Canada... I am in Montreal now, and I have been talking about the MMVAs and nobody has any remote clue what I am talking about.....

There actually only huge in Ontario.... in fact they don't even get mentioned in western Canadian at all. You never see ads for them, anywhere. But since a majority of the country's population lives there, it gets decent ratings. [Probably averages at best 1 to 2 Million viewers) They would do much better nationally if Much Music, like MTV does (or even the Junos), brought the show outside of Toronto and gave people in other parts of the country a chance to see it.

I personally never watch the MMVA's... and only will be watching for Gaga this year.

Not true... I use to live in Western Canada (Calgary) and a lot of people watched them.... maybe they are not big on the West Coast, but I am pretty sure they have a pride wide appeal across most of Canada, except possibly Franophone populations (or according to you Vancouver ppl as well....)
