The effect of promo in the UK is greater than anywhere else in the world for Gaga. It is unreal. People think she is finished in the UK, but really all she needs is a few more performances than she had done. The Paul O'Grady special was
perfect for her. She clearly adores him, so she was at ease and incredibly likeable. She performed excellently and the songs she did showed the variation of music on the album; she appealed to the club-banging youth, the rock-and-roll parents and the ballad-loving middle-aged. The fact that most people in the UK love Paul O'Grady and he gets great viewing figures, added to the fact that there was no-one else to divert attention from Gaga, was an added bonus.
