It's true, though. Why would Lady Gaga like a place like LA, so obsessed with image, attention-seeking and lies?

You have to understand the New York lifestyle. But I agree with you in a small aspect. I THINK that you are seeing it as onesided when its really faceted.

Lady Gaga loves Canada and we love her. That's all that matters

You can go that route. But then it's just a guessing game about intentions. That's messy.

Gaga's whole "I hate LA shtick" is full of *********.
The woman will do (and has done) anything for fame and celebrity, including make up shameless lies about her past, during which she was obviously popular and privileged. Is there anything more LA than that?
If you like her, recognize who/what she is and like her for that. Not for some made-up fantasy of what you want her to be. If you have to adjust her to your liking, she's obviously not pleasing you and you're not really a fan. I recognize it and still like her b/c that's showbiz.

It's more likely that Stefani Germanotta, the girl who grew up so attached to NYC, just doesn't like the L.A. scene. It may be a genuine preference of hers and not part of any schtick, in that regard.

What I dont understand is why she says that we make her brave.Obviously she did whatever the **** she wanted before she became famous..and does the same now. She was never really timid.

Sadly, to me the ********* in this case would be your statement.

Her family's rich.
She went to a prestigious, expensive school.
She looked pretty (by the standards of most regular girls) and has tons of pictures and even videos where she does NOT look bullied. And people who knew her have said she was very fun, charismatic, and got lots of attention from boys. They didn't say these things to prove she was lying - it was a while ago, they were just asked about her.
Ironically though, ever since becoming a star she has been bullied for her looks & gender.

I don't think there's something wrong with her not liking Hollywood. If I remember she did say she hates Hollywood, not LA. She may dislikes Hollywood because it's a world where she thinks everyone talks in your back as celebrities and she don't fit with their lifestyle. Honestly, do you see Lady Gaga drive a 1 million $ car or take luxurious vacations all time long? She maybe took 1 month of vacations in the last 2 years, so she's a lot into her work. She proves us everyday that she's not like them by putting her work before her fame. Seriously, she could take vacations now, she could sit on her ass with all the money she did, but she's not.
I'm surprised that you guys think she's superficial after saying that. That would mean that her outfits, looks are the most important thing to her, which is absolutely not true.
As she said, she's using those things for showbiz - to get her message passed, but the minute you listen to her in her interviews, you can see that she's not all about superficial.

Yes. But you can be pretty, rich and all, but if you act in a different way, you won't fit it in high school. I'm pretty sure she wasn't acting "normally" when see her now. She must have been really artistic and all, things that aren't really cool at high school. I don't think it's fair to say she's lying just by pointing that she was rich and pretty. I went to a expensive school with a lot of rich people, and many of them were outcasted.
