I understand that a station might have some favourites and spin them more than their equivalent success but if a song takes off and it is unstoppable then that station is being forced to play it even if that station doesn't favour the artist or the song or both. It has happened so many times in the past. For exampel the most recent example : OTF by J Lo.
So do you guys think that LA radio will eventually pick up as it explodes elsewhere? Is this a general trend; that they play songs they don't seem to like initially as they prove their popularity elsewhere?
I had no idea.
