Well duh.

I think we all can agree with that in some shape or form.

No, I was arguing that none of Ciara's past singles have been Crunk. And you kept changing the subject like I was delusional or something.

I mean, Ciara's past few singles ("Like A Boy", "CLEA", "Go Girl", "Never Ever", etc) have been WEAK, and that's the gotcha, we know. She needs URBAN tracks with CROSSOVER appeal.
But to say she flopped because her music was crunk is incorrect. That's what I was trying to say.
That's it. PERIOD. End of Story. Next!

Nitpick all you want, but I mentioned in one of my earlier post about tired R&B music. No changing the subject. Crunk, ATL, tired R&B from 2004... none of its in.

None of it's "weak." Did "Ride" make a splash on POP? No. Did "Never Ever" make a splash on POP? No. Did "Go Girl"? No. They wouldn't do anything if they were sent and they certainly wouldn't do anything on their own or based on their sound. That was my point from the get-go. If you have an issue with my opinion and the way I speak it, then move the **** along. And I thought you were done.

Your point from the get-go was that she needs to stop doing Crunk from 04'. Incorrect.
Then you switched it up to say she needs to stop doing "tired R&B"......whatever.
Now you're disagreeing with me saying her singles were weak by saying her singles were weak.
I mean, I guess but it's not making any sense.

Anyway,
The bottom _____________ is: Ciara needs to release some music with some crossover appeal and stay away from the dated R&B sound. Her last two albums were garbage and extremely dated. She needs to stay the hell away from people like The-Dream with his tired ass music and get with will.i.am, Rico Love, Jim Jonson, Chuck Harmony and even throw some RedOne in there - artists who know how to get hits right now.

My first post in this thread mentioned "tired R&B." You picked the Crunk part and decided to make an argument out of it, and then I said dropped the "crunk" part and just focus on "tired R&B" and my point still stands. YOU decided to argue with me. I agree that her choices are weak and they are tired. So, why are you still arguing with me then? it seems that you think I'm trying to shade her when I'm just stating what has been stated before. If you're confused, then that's your issue.

You know what, that's ignorance right there. Not everyone wants to sound like everyone else. Some artists actually want to call their music "works of art" and not "generic hits". You're right, it was a bad idea to rely solely on someone who has little variety in their sound, but at least it's better than working with thirty-something producers who have the EXACT same sound. And don't you dare call anything R&B dated, be it a "sound" or the whole genre itself. R&B has already had to suffer because of people like Usher and Rihanna whose fans still call their biggest hits nowadays "R&B". At least Ciara wanted to go on the route of pleasing her fans, not just "club-hungry" ears.

R&B is suffering because of people like Usher and Rihanna? I heard it all. What exactly is Ciara doing to revive the genre? Absolutely nothing. She ain't no different than Usher or Rihanna, but at least they are finding success in this climate.

And some artists want to call their work "works of art," but Ciara's material is anything but that. And Ciara isn't doing anything revolutionary and her doing the same stuff and staying clutched in an irrelevant sound is not making her "different." It means she's stagnant.
