I don't think them dropping Judas is a sign that they have lost hope in the single. I think it has more to do with the fact that the album is dropping in two weeks and they cannot afford to wait on Judas to climb. The opening week is incredibly important and the high profile performances are probably going to be better spent on The Edge of Glory.

I believe everything happens for a reason. Maybe Judas had to flop so that interscope could see that it was not going to capitalize on the hype, and that a more worthy single needed to be chosen to propel album sales to unprecedented heights.

Hopefully she'll just perform TEOG on upcoming promo and allow judas to make a quite exit.

I don't know why some people are so hung up on Judas. The reception thus far has been so-so. People are saying "wait for it to explode!" Maybe if this was still April, fine. But the album is out in less than two weeks, and Judas is just not cutting it as far as building anticipation. The reception for TEOG has been better so far, and while I'm not sure it'll be a smash, it brings way more momentum heading to the album release.

I'm inclined to agree, but I still hope she throws some promo in for Judas. Its prospects on radio seem pretty grim, now, though.
