Katy Perry has accumulated a total of five #1 singles, four of which she's received in the last year alone. Do you think it's possible for Katy to catch up to Rihanna with #1 singles? Rihanna, keep in mind, has a total of 10 and has accumulated four in the last year, the same number as Katy.
They've both had four in the last year and Rihanna releases albums more often than Katy. Plus, let's not forget that Rihanna and her team will do anything to get a #1 whereas Katy hasn't shone that same determination. Plus, Rihanna has had a #1 from every era from her last four albums, whereas Katy's only earned a lot of #1's from this album. Who's not to say that her next album will return to OOTB's success.

But that's the thing... Whenever someone talks about Katy's number ones in comparison to Rihanna's.
They will state that Katy has less work;
8 Solo Singles
2 Collab Singles
3(Only 2 with Mainstream recognition) albums
and that Rihanna has:
24 Solo SIngles
8 Collab Singles
5 Albums
1 Rerelease
2 Remix
Rihanna also has a larger variety & support with airplay. Katy only has Pop and Rythmic.
I don't know if she'll catch up with her and pass her or anything, but by the end of their respective careers, I expect they'll have similar receipts. (Rihanna will have more collabs, obviously, however).
Just release:
"Last Friday Night" (Confirmed)
"Peacock" (Pleeease!)
"The One That Got Away" (Defly!)
"Pearl" (Another FIREWORK in the making!)
"Not Like The Movies" (Power ballad on the go!)

No. Rihanna releases more, and faster, and her team is more ruthless. :P
If you mean, Rihanna's CURRENT sum, yes she definately will get her 10th #1 singles. However, when she got her 10th, Rihanna will be on her 15th or sumthing. So...
^ exactly. Katy may get 10, but we all know Rihanna isn't done getting her #1s. I expect her to have 15 or more by the time she's done with her career or something.
