They are the single biggest tourist attraction we have and things like the Royal Wedding bring in plenty of revenue too, not only were people flying over to witness the procession but the amount of merchandise sold off of it is crazy.
They annoy me from time to time but it is traditional and they are what puts the UK apart from other countries when it comes to tourism, they don't have the weather or the beaches but they do have the Royals and their fascinating history.

I completely agree! The Royal Family is a huge cultural part of the UK, which makes it so special. I don't really care who's William marrying or what dress Kate will be wearing at the Royal Wedding, but I watched it because I wanted to see their culture and how a "Royal Wedding" looks like, it's an enjoyable experience seeing different cultures that isn't yours.
I remember two years ago when me and my family visited London, we went to watch the Change of the Guard Ceremony at the Queen's Castle. I remember that there were thousands of people standing there watching, observing as the ceremony took place. In that moment, I really felt like I was in the UK. Even though it was kinda boring, it was a taste of the England culture.
Honestly, I'm against Royal Families and such, but the UK is an exception. In places like the Middle East where their country is controlled by money-thirsty Kings who do not care about their countries and citizens, only care about getting more and more money in their pockets while they leave their poor nation in the streets. In the UK, there is a government, unlike the Middle East countries, so the country isn't too-controlled by the Royal Family.
I don't see any problem with the UK having a Royal Family, since everybody gets something from it, and besides, it has became undivided part of the England culture.
