Music News: "Judas" premiering May 2 on American Idol

I see all of GaGa's promotional spots have begun, being down to #14 must shake her a bit. Even if she denies it I'm sure she watches the charts very closely, I feel like she's headed towards a meltdown if she doesn't chill soon. Her NME interview was just cringeworthy!
No shade though I like Judas a lot.

I'm sure that even if Judas would be #1 right now, they'd still premiere it there. These kind of promotion isn't planned in one day.

To be fair, I'm sure something this big would have had to be in the pipeline for a while... It's not like one phonecall to Idol and they will premiere the video, they've probably had to arrange this... Which is why I don't think the chart position spurred this move.

First of all, the promo was planned already, and didn't just come out of nowhere since the song was falling. Im glad you know Gaga personally so you can tell us how she really feels. If it was cringeworthy then don''t read it. At least she does live interviews like a normaly mentally healthy person. K thanks

Well, considering the fact that Judas did leak a little before it was supposed to, it didn't get the whole week of sales and airplay that it was supposed to. That was what killed Judas I think, kind of. Plus, I kind of get the feeling that they wanted to let Judas ride until the album release. However, with the leak + the perhaps surprising fall on Itunes, they put in the American Idol promo as a back up plan. In any case, Judas should peak either the week before or of the album release, which is great!
Does that y'know make sense to any of you guys, or am I completely in left field on this? Lol.

Don't listen to any stans. J. Lo's single was a hit not because of Idol but because it's perfect for the masses righht now. Plenty of artists have performed on ido and have not seen increases in performance. That being said, Judas is going right back to the top spot after the video release. To do it on the biggest tv show in the country is the perfect platform. This is all under the assumption that this will be a video more in line with Telephone, Paparazzi, Bad Romance and not Alejandro and BtW. WHile I love those videos they have proven to be too "weird" for most.

The fact that you reported me just shows that you couldn't handle what i was saying like an adult. Obviously i'm a stan for gaga but it was ridiculous when someone was jumped for saying that OTF could be competition for judas, especially whn judas has been underperforming. and thats true tea, sorry if it's too sweet for you.
