I really don't mean to be disrespectful with this post but that is not a valid argument in any sense. Just based off of the first singles when none of the pop stars were promoting their stuff, they all skyrocketed to the top of iTunes and that list includes...

Rihanna - Only Girl (In the World)
Katy Perry - California Gurls
Ke$ha - We R Who We R
Lady GaGa - Born this Way

And even with the no promo argument it does not explain why the song wasn't able to crack #1 and has now slipped to #23. I do believe Bey stans are more the physical purchasers and that will come through when it comes time for album release but I'm just saying based off her name alone she should still be in the top 10 at the least. Promo or none because the other girls didn't start promo when their songs shot to #1 on iTunes they just released it and then got on their hustles.

But if it's any conselation, Judas isn't doing too hot right now either. But GaGa is headed to Ellen... I feel like creatively she's headed for an underwhelming era (sales will still be very good I'm sure) and that whole "album of the decade" jargon will turn out to be a farce. As it stands the first two singles are nothing life changing.

Beyonce on the other hand, she's gonna **** this era. Like she always does. Whether she actually does see her least successful era or not (I don't think so) I know I'm gonna love the album, I feel that's a guarantee. But I've always liked Beyonce's stuff even when it's not met with public fawning like Deja Vu (I LOVE that song) and Ring the Alarm.

I'm not concerned about itunes right now. The song is being sent to radio this week, video is still coming and Beyonce will be out performing it. It has many opportunities to turn itself around, one of those factors could possibly end up sending it to the top. People act like if you don't debut at #1 then it is now or never. So dramatic. That's not how Beyonce's singles have performed and I am confident that this is "no way" the end for the song just because it didn't come out shattering records. If the other girls did, good for them, Beyonce still has career highlights to her name that the others can't touch either.

Why do you guys keep saying "based off of her name" when we have 12 year old little warped minded teens who think Ke$ha is the new Michael Jackson? It is because of promo whether you wanna hear it or not hun. You cant just put a song on itunes, continue to stay silent w/ little to no info on it & expect it to sky rocket. Her being in the top 10 in nearly 18 countries should be more than enough to be proud of.
