I'm fine with a leak, and I have a conspiracy theory that Gaga sends her tracks to leakers because she wants fans to hear her album now and she doesn't want Interscope mad at her for leaking.

I highly doubt Gaga loves it when her songs leak. She puts way too much effort into making the song perfect and setting a date to release it.

Leaks make sale better? I'm not sure about that.

If nothing leaks except those promotional singles (that aren't really leaks), people will more likely buy the album on May 23rd. Some of those who would just download the leaked version weeks before its release probably wouldn't bother to buy it later if they're not good fans.

Leaks are bad. Period. There's other way to build a hype.

I wake up to hear all this about Government Hooker almost leaking. Whats all odd about this... is about 2 people told me last night they had it. One of them sent me the preview that we've all heard... and the other gave me nothing, but I don't believe them - at all.

Personally I like leaks. Let's me know if I want to buy the album or not. But a leak this early would be horrible.

And the hype-building comes with the countdown singles - which is done LEGALLY and with Gaga's approval.

His sales weren't as bad as Britney's, but not nearly what they should've been for what a masterpiece that album was.

True, though I think that's mostly his fault. Britney fans talk about "no promo," Kanye literally ranted on the Today Show and then completely disappeared.
