It feels like the big-named divas are somewhat disappointing quality-wise or commercially.

I adore Lady Gaga more than any other female pop star, and I still listen to TFM on the regular, but Judas is just too derivative for my liking. Maybe it'll grow on me, but it sounds too much like Bad Romance. Everyone who's heard her album says the music, for the most part, doesn't sound like what she's done in the past, so I don't know why they chose Judas as a single. Should've been Marry the Night, if the instrumental was any indication.
Girls is just too noisy. I feel like there are some parts that work individually but together it's just a mess.

I don't know if she was trying to be different by working with Diplo or what. I always found his productions to be loud and obnoxious.

We might need some actual clarification, but I always thought it's hanes instead of hands.

I still think Judas will come back to #1 on iTunes around May 23rd when the album drops. The promo is just too impressive. Judas was the perfect second single to follow BTW that was so different from her previous tracks and made some of her fans wonder if they would have something for them in that album. I'll come back to this thread at this moment because this thread is just funny at this moment
Great that it doesn't sell too much right now so when the promo starts, it can have a real effect. If you have any doubt, go look at PF and BR run on the Hot 100.

Adele?
I think Beyonce is going to release a second single before her album, that's just my personal feeling. A multiformat hit perhaps.

I don't mind his productions when I'm in a club dancing, but as part of a lead single that you're supposed enjoy for the melody? It just doesn't work. I don't know what Bey's team was thinking. Matthew wouldn't have allowed this.

That probably the reson why I like Judas is because it does sound a lot like Bad Romance.. Which I Love.. But I do understand where everybody else is coming from when they say they wanted something different..
Tbh, I really don't get WHY WHY WHY Beyonce had to release Girls.. Its waaaay to repetetive and just all over the place.. No catchy chorus(atleast to me)
"The Trinity" as you all say has disappointed wit their latest work..
Their first singles weren't their best and comercially they tend to be struggling a bit..

Sammi, the song was a major disappointment I'm still shocked by the fact the song only peaked at #5 til now, We didn't need videos for other girls's 1st singles to smash within hours but let's stop there.

But is Adele really a "big-named diva" like Britney, Beyonce and GaGa? 21 and "Rolling in the Deep" have been huge successes, but this is her "breakthrough" effort, while those artists have been having commercial success for years. GaGa has been around as long as Adele, but she is clearly a "bigger name" than Adele by a mile. I expect more from them.
