Why are remixes desperate when Pop, females, does/do it? I find it increasingly bias and bitter. Rap/R&B songs are remixed all the time to get them re-noticed/re-booted on their respective formats, and even to get them going on Mainstream.

Plus, this is JIVE. They are not reaching for #1s. Nicki is going on tour with Britney, interest has been expressed, it's perfect promotion. It going #1 is just showing people are willing to buy it, and enjoy it. If it does.
