It's not out of the question that "Judas" suffers the same fate as its mother, "Bad Romance." I must admit: Katy and Rihanna have been holding their own against Britney and GaGa this era. I thought their success would simmer down a bit. Let's see what they can do with Beyonce around. (Not trying to start a huge comparison, but just wanted to note that).

Well to be honest, she completely killed S&M this week...
It would have been guaranteed Number 1 if she ddnt release Judas.
And Her lead single has been Number 1 for as long s Rihanna's first 2 singles combined & Multiplied by 3.

But yes, Katy is putting up a fight.

Yup, 3 weeks @#1 and 2 million copies sold already. It will probabably get one more week @#1. I don't see any problems here. Rihanna can have it this week. I don't care.

It's not the same... Judas is doing just as good (if not better) as any first single (except Born this way) - it's number one with a big lead. it's not going number one this week only because its first week sales are split between two weeks, it's just a technicality. while Bad romance simply didn't sell well at first

Well, "S&M" will most likely be #1, so I'm not sure how "Judas" killed "S&M"...

Regardless, Katy and Rihanna are like on 3rd or 4th single and still having major digital and radio success. They are both holding their own.

As in S&M was 100% guaranteed a number 1, now it's 50% for Katy and 50% for Rihanna since Gaga knocked her off number 1 and she's falling on iTunes. But yes Katy and Rihanna are holding their own against the heavyweights of the industry

Rihanna has video too. And I don't think streaming points and Amazon/Walmart could make some big difference. You'll see.
