Even so, there are still combined pop-bars and while the original will be down, it will likely be ahead of the original E.T.
In terms of airplay, you might be right...especially by next week. It all depends on how the remix affects AI...it will likely be really close

We'll see, ha. The problem is that the remix of E.T. was used as the primary when sent to radio INITIALLY. It built it's entire airplay and fanbase off of the remix. In addition, when people download, they probably aren't even sure which one is the radio one, hence why E.T. and E.T. feat. Kanye are both doing well.
In the case of S&M, the original song is the primary version that has built a foundation on radios. The Britney remix isn't going to do much. I'd say you're going to get the most help from the Britney fanbase, because her part certainly doesn't add anything to the song. Rihanna's original sounds better on the radio than this remix. With E.T., though Kanye's parts weren't very good, he added a sort of universal appeal to the song, something Britney doesn't.
