Unfortunately, here at ATRL, the inevitable will lead to people acting like the double was in the whole damn video.
Just watched the entire video frame by frame...with the exception of TWO frames, it's all Britney. Stand-ins are common in music videos. Directors use them to frame shots and give the artist an idea of what they'll be doing.
I'm really kind of lost as to the criticism the video is getting. I don't think this is her best video by any stretch of the imagination. I still think her best videos of the second half of her careers are Womanizer and Circus, but this is still very good. I would probably list it after Circus as one of her best ones since 07'. Overall this is problem in the same realm as Stronger, not better than Slave or Boys which were it's source material for the most part. But still very passable and easily one of the best of the year. It seems like people just need to shade Britney. She was active. She was present. She danced the best she has danced in a long time and she gave a great Britney-quality video which is what people wanted from her. People didn't like it when she went meta with Hold It Against Me and yet they are still criticizing her when she goes back to basics. Make up your mind on what you want.
I'm glad most of the reception has been positive and I won't make comments on the fact that this video is better than a slew of others out there including most of your "Queen's" who have released videos this year.
LOL I can't believe some of the comments in this thread. Britney tried overly convoluted videos with "themes" and artistic imagery and it wasn't very good. KISS boo...Keep Is Simple Stupid. I don't don't Britney's video's to address the problems of society, and improve my self esteem (), all I want is a vid that entertains me. This did.
