You screaming "PERIOD" after a statement doesn't make it true.
Fact: When Rihanna said they were deciding the next single, she listed 4. One of them was CKB and the others were Cheers, Man Down, and Fading.
She purposely didn't mention Raining Men, Complicated, Skin, or LTWYL2 because they will not be released. They aren't single worthy, and I'm glad Rihanna sees that.
Why isn't Complicated single-worthy? DJ did deem Raining Men single-worthy & that turned out quite poorly. LTWYL Part II won't be released because the song has already been shoved down everybody throats once. Skin, just isn't & that's obvious to everyone. I think Complicated has radio appeal, & it shows off her vocals without being too balladish for American/worldwide radios. It keeps up with the dance/electronic pop trend while maintaining something unique.
It would obviously be a risk since not many of her fans are looking for it to be released. But honestly if they pulled an upset by releasing it I'd be very happy.

Girl stop calling raining men a flop when it didnt receive any single treatment. No video, No promo, No performances. Nothing. Trust and believe a video with Nicki and Rihanna would have made the song take off on pop and go at least top 10 on us itunes.
thats what i was thinking, i guess will have to wait and see what happens
We all know DJ is gonna release the next single right as everything looks good for that 3x plat. I'm surprised they haven't released CKB yet knowing S&M won't go to #1.
I wish I could get into that damn song, but it just never clicks with me.
You missing a gem of her career
Technically, RM didn't flop, since it never got a video & probably never will, but DJ did expect it to be a single & that didn't happen because of the poor response it got on radio & especially iTunes.
Complicated sounds like **** when compared to Man Down..
Man Down is the obvious better choice.
Exactly. If promoted well, ManDown can be a big groundbreaking hits for Rihanna. Her songs with island flavor (WMN, RB) have become big hits for her, MD should do well esp. in Europe.

There is just something in Man Down that does not click for me.
2.5-3M? Um no. The momentum of SM far exceeds OG and WMN if you analyze their sales trajectories. This will do over 3M
Unlikely. S&M is only at 1.2M and it seems that Def Jam is already rush-releasing CKB. That is precisely the problem with Def Jam, they don't give enough air for a single to breathe and perform to its fullest and they love to throw new single one after the other, with little to no promo on top of all. The promos for OG and WMN are justified since they would determine the album early sales but nothing yet for S&M.
OG and WMN would easily exceed 3 Million if released one after the other dies out. But that didn't matter since that dual release helped the album sales a lot.
Neither Complicated nor Man Down are amazing or groundbreaking tracks.
Complicated? Far from her best ballad. California King. Fire Bomb. Take A Bow. Stupid in Love.
Man Down? Far from her best Island-infused song. Rude Boy. What's My Name. Pon de Replay.
The best from Loud have already been (or will be soon, as the 4th single) released. After CKB, we just need songs with radio/sales appeal.

I think it's your nature. Not to sound racist but if you're from island/black root/culture/environment, you'd love this song instantly. However, that factor is not dominant since we know many non island/non black Navy have been liking it since day 1 but yeah, definitely one of the contributing factors. It's the same like how much I hated Raining Men before coz I thought it was ghetto but it's among my fav from Loud now. Gotta break the boundaries
Europe 70 Dates (More O2 dates to be announced, possibly other dates in cities where it's sold out)
US/Canada 30 Dates
Aus/NZ: 20 Dates (She did 9 dates for LGOE (Aus), she's more popular than ever now=more dates)
Brazil: 7-8 Dates
Asia: 7-8
This will give her a total of 130 dates. If she does a re-release, I imagine new legs with new songs, so this tour could very well approach the 200 date mark.

LOL, don't worry that doesn't sound racist or anything IDK, it's not the reggae/island roots that are making me not like it, it's just something else. I liked Rude Boy, Pon De Replay, and some of her other songs with similar roots. It's grown on me a LOT though. I used to hate it as much as I hated Skin. now I only hate Skin on the album.

MD is not groundbreaking in terms of sound and vibe since she has done that but I'd say so lyrically. We don't have such blatant lyrics about shooting people on the radio. It'd garner a lot of media attention.
In Unfaithful, the word 'gun' was censored in few countries, so I wonder how this will go with MD. Russian Roulette did fine for a murderous ballad and I expect the same for MD.

RB, WMN, and PDR are island-flavored pop tracks, they can't be compared to a straight up Reggae record like Man Down, it could become a classic of hers if well promoted.

Sis we share the same opinion. I'm hatin' Skin. Some Navy really love it but the sexual tension in that song is too much. I think it depends on your mood tho, when you're horny and all , that song is very list-enable.
Back to MD, I think you gotta listen to this to like it. Kimmy's voice gives me the kiiii everytime. Her ram papa pum is just

Already a classic for us Navy with no single treatment yet but gotta spread the epicness. The same with G4L. I'll request my heart out of this got released
