yes in the end, US sales > Uk sales, the gap is just around 150K i think and CKB will help the album more in the US I'd say

Hopefully Def Jam dont release CKB worldwide. As musch as I love the song, it is very local. Especially due to te California reference in the title. The sound of the song is not worldly either so I think they should make the song US/Canada based. They should release Man Down to the UK as the 4th single because it has that UK grime sound to it that will propel it on the charts also with a great video and promo I see it going number one. If they ever want to release a ballad from the album for overseas markets, Complicated is by far the only way to go.

we are the only ones to embrace ballads almost even better than uptempo songs....

Just look at how incredibly well Russian Roulette did.

Scandinavian countries are going to eat it up and the latin markets I'm sure they will too...

anyway... I would go with Man Down. I HAVE THE CERTAINTY that Man Down is going to SMASH EUROPE! LITERALLY... EVEN the UK

I know. But Cali Gurls is an upbeat dance song that can get played everywhere. This is a ballad. And I know its referring to the bed not the state. Im just saying that If they want a ballad in the UK to smash effortlessly, Complicated is the way to go.

Europe loves Reggae just as much as the Caribbean and for a big superstar like Rihanna to release a strong reggae song it will be huge for her. Thats why Im hoping for Def jam to skip CKB and go straight to Man Down for Europe.

Man down would smash hard in the UK and I'm not just saying that for the hell of it. Everyone loves it, I even heard it on radio in the UK, and the UK radio is not like the US where they play album tracks like that. It was so amazing.

But, California King Bed & Man down has been the highest charting non singles on iTunes in the UK since album release.

EDIT: Also, the response they got was AMAZING. All my friends love it, it's currently their ringtone.

I just know. We are already approaching single #4 come May. She is going on tour all year starting June 4th. Im expecting US single #5 to come in August before she leaves for her tour in Europe in September.

Death Jam is NOT and I repeat NOT going to leave the holiday season empty and knowing that RIh will be in the UK for the whole season, no re release seems appropriate so they have to throw in single #6 i November. The 7 single is iffy it might come or it not but if she gets Grammy love with Loud we will get Fading come 2012 to end the era.

Agreed. Mandown for us in the UK and you guys in the US can take the CKB. Not because of the California reference but moreso because Country music is only really popular in the US. Many outside the US can not stand that form of music.
